1. Introduction
ImmigrantBridge Translation Services, operated by Skybound Systems Inc. (“we,” “our,” or “us”), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our document translation services at immigrantbridge.com.
We understand that you may be sharing sensitive immigration documents with us. We take that responsibility seriously and have designed our systems with your privacy and security in mind.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identity information: Your name, email address, and phone number, provided when you place an order.
- Document files: The documents you upload for translation (e.g., birth certificates, passports, marriage licenses, diplomas). These files may contain sensitive personal information such as dates of birth, nationality, family relationships, and other immigration-relevant data.
- Order details: Information about your translation order, including language pair, document type, order status, and transaction history.
- Payment information: We accept payment via Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or banking details. All payment data is processed directly by Stripe and subject to their privacy policy.
- Usage data: Basic technical information such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited, collected automatically to maintain and improve the service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information only for the following purposes:
- Fulfilling your translation order: Processing your documents, producing a certified translation, and delivering the completed translation to you.
- Order communications: Sending you order confirmation, status updates, and delivery notifications via email.
- Customer support: Responding to your questions, requests, or concerns about your order.
- Service improvement: Analyzing aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to improve our platform. We do not use your personal documents or personal information for this purpose.
- Legal compliance: Meeting our obligations under applicable law, including fraud prevention and dispute resolution.
4. Document Handling and Retention
Because you may share highly sensitive immigration documents with us, we apply strict policies to their handling:
- Encrypted storage: All uploaded document files are stored using AES-256 encryption at rest. Only authorized personnel and automated translation systems can access your files during order processing.
- Automatic deletion: Document files are automatically deleted from our systems 30 days after your order is delivered or closed. Translated output files follow the same retention period.
- No AI training:Your documents are never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI or machine learning model — by us or any third party we work with.
- Never sold: We do not sell, rent, or trade your documents or personal information to any third party, ever.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a limited number of trusted third-party services to operate ImmigrantBridge. Each receives only the minimum information necessary to perform their function:
- Stripe(stripe.com) — Payment processing. Stripe receives your payment card information directly. We receive only a payment confirmation token. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Google (Gmail)— We use Gmail to send order confirmation and status emails to you. Google may process your email address in connection with delivery. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- OpenRouter(openrouter.ai) — AI translation assistance. Document content is transmitted to OpenRouter for AI-assisted translation processing. OpenRouter routes requests to underlying AI model providers. Your document content is processed by these systems to produce the translation. OpenRouter does not use your data for AI model training. See OpenRouter’s Privacy Policy.
- LibreTranslate— An open-source translation engine that may be used as part of the translation pipeline. Document content may be transmitted to this service for processing.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except as required by law or court order.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- Encryption at rest: All document files and sensitive data are encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is protected using HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Access controls: Access to your documents is restricted to personnel and systems directly involved in processing your order.
While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely immune to security risks. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@immigrantbridge.com.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information and any documents you have uploaded. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Correction: You may ask us to correct inaccurate information we hold about you.
To exercise any of these rights, please email us at support@immigrantbridge.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will respond within 30 days.
8. CCPA and GDPR Compliance
We do not sell your personal information. This applies to all users, including California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data on the legal basis of contract performance (to fulfill your translation order) and legitimate interests (to maintain and improve our service).
